A bit of movement on the farm in the month of July at Mount Darragh. Had a Barb Sayer clinic which everyone enjoyed. Midnight even joined in. He is Friso’s son and has only Been broken in for a few months he handled it so well and thoroughly enjoyed it. Here are a few pictures from the weekend
Had a bit of a scare Saturday morning 8th Aug Friso was not in a good state didn’t want to move was in agony. Turns out case of colic called the vet and thankfully came promptly tube up the nose took it like a trooper no twitch needed. Pain medication was administered. Thankfully he had relief fairly quickly kept a watchful eye on him so far so good.
Well winter has been a doozy this year lots of frosts and rain but no snow here. So much for warmer dry winter! It has been quiet here just some maintenance on the horses. Friso has had some well earned rest and is now ready to knuckle down and work towards advanced level dressage. The foals have a wonderful thick winter coat and look a lot like donkeys but still cute. The ground is totally waterlogged is going to be a great spring. What a beautiful place and what a lucky lady I am to be blessed with this lot
